Runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

0:00 / 0:00 Click where you want to start, or select some text to hear just that. Rename a speaker and every line of theirs follows; give two of them the same name and they become one person. Drag a name into the words above or below it to move where that speaker starts; Alt-drag to leave a second name there instead, or Alt-click the words to start a speaker nobody has heard yet.

Browsers keep their own default input, which can disagree with the one your operating system is using, and when it does it returns silence rather than an error. Naming the device here fixes that, and the choice is remembered.

Which browsers can do this

Capturing a meeting's audio needs Chrome or Edge. Firefox and Safari implement screen sharing but not the audio that goes with it, so there is nothing for this page to transcribe there. On macOS, sharing a native app's audio needs Chrome 141 or later on macOS 14.2 or later; before that only a browser tab's audio could be captured, so you would join the meeting in a tab rather than the desktop app.

Takes the same path a transcribed line takes, so it lands in the document with the same formatting and export behaviour.
